Among the standout additions are garden weddings, a move aimed at catering to couples seeking an intimate, natural setting for their big day.
For a prescribed fee, couples can now exchange vows in serene outdoor locations, with legal officiation provided by qualified personnel from the Office of the Attorney General.
“Couples can select and procure a beautiful, serene outdoor setting for their special day, ensuring a memorable experience while securing compliance with all legal requirements for marriage registration,” said Attorney General Dorcas Oduor.
The initiative offers a balance of elegance and simplicity, appealing to couples who want an unforgettable ceremony in nature while meeting all the formal legal necessities.
In addition to garden weddings, the AG’s office has also introduced a VIP Marriage Room in Nairobi.
This new service caters to couples who prefer a private, upscale, and expedited marriage ceremony in a well-appointed setting.
“The VIP Marriage Room underscores our commitment to ensuring all couples have the latitude to create meaningful memories on their wedding day while receiving professional and prompt service,” Oduor stated.
Designed for a more personalized experience, the room offers couples the option to decorate the space to their taste, adding a customized touch to their ceremony.
The premium features come at an upscale fee that reflects the exclusivity and convenience of the service.
The Office of the Attorney General emphasized that these new services are part of a broader effort to modernize marriage formalities and provide couples with greater flexibility as they celebrate one of life’s most significant milestones.
