Reflecting on 2024, he lauded the nation’s collective determination in overcoming challenges and highlighted key milestones in economic recovery and social reforms.
“Despite serious challenges, we stood together, worked with determination, and overcame obstacles,” Ruto said, citing the strengthening of the Kenyan shilling, inflation falling to 2.7%, and advancements in universal healthcare under the Taifa Care program.
The President showcased progress in food security, affordable housing, and job creation as pivotal achievements.
He revealed that the affordable housing program has now expanded to include 873,000 housing units in the pipeline, creating 200,000 jobs in the process.
Looking forward, Ruto emphasized his administration’s commitment to sustained economic growth, increased agricultural productivity, and enhanced healthcare and education systems.
“In 2025, we will be busier at school and at work, better nourished, safer, and more secure,” he promised.
Beyond economic development, the President urged Kenyans to unite in addressing moral and societal issues.
“Turn every challenge into an opportunity to do more and to do better,” he said, emphasizing collective responsibility in shaping a stronger nation.
