According to a statement issued by club chairman John Keru, the fire erupted at around 3:30 a.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, as the building was unoccupied at the time.
“We are relieved to report that no staff, members, or guests were present during the incident,” Keru confirmed in a memo to members.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, fire marshals swiftly responded to the scene to contain the situation.
They are now conducting investigations and assessing the extent of the damage to determine the next steps.
Keru announced the immediate but temporary closure of the clubhouse to ensure safety and facilitate thorough evaluations.
“We regret to announce the temporary closure of the clubhouse until further notice,” he said, adding that the management is committed to keeping members informed about the progress of the investigations and plans for reopening.
Despite the setback, Keru assured the community of the club’s dedication to restoring operations and prioritizing safety.
