KPSEA Results Set for Release Today

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- The wait is over for parents and learners eager to receive their Grade 6 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results.

The Ministry of Education has officially announced the release, with Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba urging parents to check their children’s results through school portals.

But that’s not all—alongside the results, the government has also disbursed a massive Sh48.4 billion to public schools, reinforcing its commitment to free and compulsory education.

No need to panic about long queues at schools. Ogamba confirmed that KPSEA results will be available online through the official school portals.

This digital approach is expected to ease access and minimize the logistical headaches that often come with exam result releases.

The KPSEA assessment, introduced under Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), is a key milestone for learners transitioning to junior secondary school.

Unlike the old KCPE system, KPSEA focuses on continuous assessment rather than a single high-stakes exam.

In a major win for students and educators, the government has injected Sh48.4 billion into public schools.

According to Ogamba, the funds have been distributed across three categories. Free Primary Education has received Sh4.13 billion, while Free Day Junior School Education has been allocated Sh15.33 billion.

The largest portion, Sh28.92 billion, has been directed toward Free Day Secondary School Education.

This funding ensures that public schools can sustain operations, provide learning materials, and cater to basic student needs without financial strain.

The move aligns with Kenya’s goal of making quality education accessible to all children, regardless of economic background.

With the results now out, attention shifts to junior secondary school placements. Parents are advised to stay updated on admission guidelines and school selection criteria to ensure a smooth transition for their children.
