UDA To Have 2 Deputy Party Leaders After Swallowing Mudavadi’s ANC

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has clarified its top leadership structure saying it now features two Deputy Party Leaders.

The party has affirmed that Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki will serve as the 1st Deputy Party Leader, while Governor Issa Timamy will assume the role of the 2nd Deputy Party Leader.

The Lamu Governor was initially the ANC Party leader before the merger.

Hassan Omar Hassan remains the Secretary-General, continuing to play a pivotal role in the party’s operations.

The party’s leadership lineup includes President William Ruto as the Party Leader and Cecily Mbarire as the National Chairperson, among other key figures.

In the statement, UDA expressed concern over the rise in misleading reports about its leadership, accusing some media outlets of deliberate misinformation.

The party emphasized that these false narratives are attempts to disrupt their agenda aimed at uniting Kenyans and advancing the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

The statement concluded with an appeal to Kenyans to distinguish truth from falsehood as the government continues its development initiatives.
