Nakuru County was conferred the city status by the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2021.
There have been a lot of transformations to ensure the new city status is met including introducing a new cashless system known as the Integrated Revenue Collection and Management System.
The cashless system has increased efficiency and residents can now pay for County Government services.
One of the services that the system has enhanced is paying for parking.
Paying For Parking in Nakuru County Using USSD
- Dial 703#.
- Select Street Parking
- Choose your current sub-county
- Select the type of vehicle
- Enter the vehicle’s registration number
- Confirm the information and proceed to pay your parking fees through M-Pesa by selecting ‘Accept Payment.’
- An M-Pesa payment pop-up will appear on your phone. Enter your PIN to complete the payment for your parking ticket.
Paying for Parking using Paybill Number
- Go to MPesa – Lipa Na Mpesa – Paybill
- Enter Paybill number 3232323
- Enter your vehicle registration number as the account number
- Enter the amount
- Enter your Mpesa pin then send.
Pay for Parking Online Using Nakuru Pay
- Visit nakurupay.com, for the app, and download it on the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
- Register for an account.
- Once registered, a verification will be sent to either your phone or email address.
- Complete the verification then proceed to log in to your account
- On the drop-down menu, select Seasonal Parking
- Choose Applications
- Select New Application and fill in all the required information including the vehicle and personal details then hit submit
- Wait for verification which typically takes a while.
- Once verified, you can proceed to make the payments
- Log in to the portal and choose the services you need which in this case select Seasonal Parking. Choose the “Pay Online” option and complete the payment. NakuruPay currently only supports Mpesa.
Daily parking charges vary from Sh. 50 to Sh. 500 depending on the location and the type of your vehicle.
