Radisson Hotel Group Appoints Sandra Kneubuhler as Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa

NAIROBI, Kenya-  Radisson Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Sandra Kneubuhler as its new Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, an influential role based in Johannesburg that will see her oversee operations across the group’s English-speaking markets in the region. 

With a proven track record in the hospitality sector, Sandra’s appointment reflects Radisson’s commitment to expanding its presence in Africa by investing in top regional talent.

Sandra joined Radisson Hotel Group in 2019 and quickly distinguished herself through exceptional leadership. 

She previously served as the Country Director of Sales and District Director for South Africa, where she spearheaded the development of Radisson’s Cluster Sales Team and achieved remarkable milestones.

Her deep understanding of the African market and her strategic approach to revenue growth have not only strengthened Radisson’s reputation but also set new benchmarks in the region’s hospitality sector.

Her experience at Radisson extends beyond revenue achievements. Sandra has driven improvements across key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on market share, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement. 

In her new role, Sandra will oversee a region experiencing significant demand, as Radisson continues to expand its African portfolio.

Sandra’s leadership style emphasizes a holistic approach, one that prioritizes long-term, sustainable growth for all stakeholders. 

Tim Cordon, Radisson’s Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia Pacific, expressed confidence in her ability to lead Radisson’s African operations, citing her dedication to operational excellence. 

“Sandra’s extensive knowledge of the African market and her dedication to operational excellence make her the ideal candidate to drive success across the continent,” Cordon stated.

With over two decades in hospitality, including a successful career at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Sandra brings a wealth of experience to her role. 

At Hyatt, she held key roles, including Global Sales Director for Africa, where she launched new global sales offices and generated a 30pc increase in revenue within two years. 

Her hands-on expertise in sales, marketing, and profitability improvements further cements her status as a strategic leader in the industry.

Sandra’s journey with Radisson is a testament to her commitment to growth and innovation.
