NAIROBI, Kenya– Airtel Kenya has crossed the 24 million subscriber mark,in what it has termed as a major milestone attributed to its sustained investment in network expansion and digital innovation.
According to the latest sector statistics released by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), the telco’s growing customer base reflects rising public trust in Airtel’s ability to deliver reliable services across Kenya from major cities to the most remote locations.
Speaking at the launch of the Na Bado Tunagrow network campaign, Airtel Kenya Managing Director Ashish Malhotra expressed gratitude to customers for their continued support and reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to growth.
“We are deeply humbled by the support of over 24 million customers who continue to believe in us. This is not the destination, it is part of a longer journey,” said Malhotra.
“We are committed to Kenya, and whilst we have made huge investments, our mission of enriching lives and driving progress is still not done.”
Airtel has over the years expanded its infrastructure, including network coverage, customer service points, and retail distribution outlets. In 2024, it extended coverage to underserved counties such as Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa, enabling thousands to access mobile and internet connectivity for the first time.
In addition to its connectivity efforts, Airtel has upgraded its Airtel Money platform to deliver faster and more secure digital financial services.
The move is part of the company’s broader goal to promote financial inclusion in Kenya.
The Na Bado Tunagrow campaign, which translates to “we’re still growing,” symbolizes Airtel’s ongoing efforts to reach more Kenyans and provide access to modern digital tools.
