Glovo Appoints Daphne Kabeberi as Impact and Sustainability Lead for Africa

NAIROBI, Kenya- The delivery giant has announced the appointment of Daphne Kabeberi as the new Impact and Sustainability Lead for Africa. 

In her new role, Daphne will steer Glovo’s sustainability agenda, ensuring that the company’s operations and initiatives positively impact social and environmental well-being across the continent.

Daphne’s appointment aligns with Glovo’s commitment to sustainable practices and community welfare. 

“We are delighted to welcome Daphne Kabeberi to the Glovo team,” said Sebastien Pellion, Global Head of Impact & Sustainability at Glovo

Before joining Glovo, Daphne was the Program Lead and Partnership Manager at Tunapanda Institute. 

Here, she designed and directed training programs that prepared digital workers from underprivileged communities for dignified jobs. 

Additionally, as the Lead Sustainability Engineer at Endustrial Support, she successfully implemented “Green Key” eco-label standards for a leading hotel, optimizing energy and water utilization, and guiding best practices that significantly reduced the carbon footprint.

A Vision for the Future

Daphne is enthusiastic about her new role. “I am immensely excited to be on this team, in such a vibrant organization. It’s a privilege to lead efforts that will see Glovo take its place as an Impact & Sustainability pioneer and trendsetter on the African continent,” she said.

Daphne’s expertise in sustainability and community-driven initiatives positions her as a key player in advancing Glovo’s goals. 

Under her leadership, Glovo aims to implement impactful sustainability practices and foster a culture of environmental responsibility across its African operations.
