Artist and content creator Ramadhan Oluoch, popularly known as Ramzzy, has been granted shared custody of his two children, marking a turning point in a long and highly publicized custody battle with his ex-partner, Faith ‘Shiko‘ Wanjiku.

The court ruling, delivered this week, provides both parents with equal responsibility in raising the children and sets out a structured parenting plan aimed at ensuring their stability and well-being.

The custody case has been ongoing since 2023, with both Ramzzy and Shiko locked in a heated dispute over who should be granted primary responsibility for the children.

At the heart of the battle were allegations and counterclaims of neglect, misconduct, and questions about the children’s welfare.

Shiko, who filed for full custody shortly after the couple’s separation, argued that she was best positioned to raise the children, citing her stability and maternal bond.

On the other hand, Ramzzy insisted on his right to play an equal role in their upbringing, presenting himself as a committed father determined not to be sidelined.

The case attracted significant public attention, partly due to Ramzzy’s visibility on social media, where he often shares aspects of his life and career.

As the proceedings dragged on through several adjournments, fans and critics alike weighed in on the matter, underscoring how deeply personal family battles can quickly become matters of public debate in the age of digital storytelling.

Following the ruling, Ramzzy took to social media to express gratitude and relief.

“I could have been a provider with no care, presence nor emotional availability but I chose to fight for them and today I have been granted joint legal and physical custody by the Children’s Court” he wrote.

He went on to thank his family, friends, and fans who had stood by him during what he described as “the most emotionally draining period of my life.

Shiko has yet to comment on the issue. In earlier hearings, she had voiced concerns over Ramzzy’s parenting style, but the ruling now compels both parents to cooperate.

Before their split and the ensuing custody battle, Ramzzy and Shiko were best known for their popular YouTube channel, The Green Calabash.

The lifestyle and parenting vlog gave viewers a window into their family life, documenting everything from pregnancy journeys to parenting hacks and everyday routines.
