Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has announced 290 job vacancies across multiple departments, opening opportunities for qualified Kenyans to join the state agency responsible for developing and maintaining rural road networks.

In a public notice, KeRRA said the vacancies span senior management, professional, technical and support roles, with positions graded between Job Group 4 and Job Group 12 on permanent and pensionable terms.

Among the advertised posts are Assistant Directors in key departments such as Roads, Planning, Finance and Accounts, Legal Affairs, Human Resource Management, Internal Audit and Public Affairs.

The authority is also seeking professionals including engineers, planners, accountants, ICT officers, auditors, sociologists, environmentalists and supply chain management officers.

KeRRA is additionally recruiting technical and support staff, including engineering technicians, drivers, office administrators, customer care assistants and legal clerks.

The authority said detailed job descriptions and requirements for each position are available on its official website, www.kerra.go.ke.

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications online via email, attaching a duly signed application letter, updated curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, national identity card and details of at least three professional referees.

Applications must be submitted on or before January 13, 2026, at 5pm. KeRRA cautioned that hard copy applications will not be accepted and that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Successful candidates will be required to meet the leadership and integrity requirements set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution, including clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and a credit reference bureau.

KeRRA reaffirmed its commitment to equal opportunity employment, encouraging women, youth and persons with disabilities to apply.
