KIHARU, Kenya – Kiharu Technical and Vocational College (TVC) was officially launched today in a ceremony co-funded by the Kiharu NG-CDF, marking a major milestone for technical education in the region.
The event also saw the commissioning of the newly constructed Mwai Kibaki Tuition Block, aimed at improving learning facilities for the over 2,000 students enrolled from across the country.
During the launch, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro handed over Sh4.2 million from the NG-CDF for essential workshop equipment.
He also presented a Sh10 million cheque to St Paul’s Boys, Gathuki-ini, to facilitate the purchase of a new school bus.

The college offers a variety of courses under the leadership of Dr. Daniel Wahungu, whose work has been praised as exemplary.
The ceremony attracted a wide array of dignitaries, including Gathee Wa Njeri, Esther Irungu, Mama Sacco, and Regional Director Nyota, as well as learners and members of the local community.
Later, Bishop John CW joined the celebrations, adding to the sense of occasion.
MP Ndindi Nyoro hailed the day as a significant step toward empowering youth through technical education, noting that modern infrastructure and equipment are key to preparing students for the workforce.
The launch of Kiharu TVC and the opening of the Mwai Kibaki Tuition Block underscore continued efforts to strengthen education and community development in the region, combining government support and local initiatives for sustainable impact.
