NAIROBI, Kenya — The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued a final call to prospective students seeking admission to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake.
In a notice released on Monday, January 26, KUCCPS said the application window will close on January 27, 2026, urging eligible candidates to submit their applications without delay.
The placement service clarified that the application is open exclusively to Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates from previous years up to the 2024 cohort. Candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE examinations will be considered in subsequent intakes.
Applicants have been directed to apply through the KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke. The process requires candidates to log in using their KCSE index numbers and submit their course choices online for placement consideration.
KUCCPS said applicants experiencing difficulties with the process can seek assistance at any KMTC campus or Huduma Centre countrywide, where official support is available.
The deadline reminder comes weeks after KMTC issued a public warning over admission-related scams targeting prospective students.
In an advisory dated January 7, 2026, the medical training institution cautioned applicants against fraudsters claiming they can secure or guarantee KMTC course slots in exchange for money.
KMTC said conmen have been using social media platforms, particularly Facebook and WhatsApp, as well as unsolicited phone calls, to solicit payments from desperate applicants.
The institution reiterated that admission to KMTC is strictly based on merit and meeting prescribed cluster points, and that no payment is required to secure placement.

KMTC further warned that official admission letters are never sent via WhatsApp. Successful candidates placed by KUCCPS are required to download their admission letters directly from the official KMTC portals.
The application window for the March 2026 intake opened on January 7, giving applicants a three-week period to complete submissions.
Prospective students can access detailed course requirements and cluster points on the official KMTC website or through the KUCCPS platforms.
