Tanzanian singer Harmonize has reached an out-of-court divorce settlement with his Italian ex-wife Sarah Michelotti, bringing to a close a long-running legal dispute between the former couple.

The settlement was reached privately after years of legal wrangles following the collapse of their marriage.

The singer agreed to pay a settlement amount of Sh7.5 million to Michelotti as part of the final divorce arrangement.

Harmonize, whose real name is Rajab Abdul Kahali, married Michelotti in 2019 in a lavish ceremony that attracted significant attention across East Africa.

At the time, the relationship drew widespread public interest as the singer’s career was rising rapidly in the regional music industry.

Michelotti, an Italian entrepreneur who had been involved in managing some of Harmonize’s business affairs, was frequently seen alongside the artist at public events and on social media.

However, their marriage began to face challenges shortly after the wedding.

The couple’s separation became public in 2020 when Harmonize confirmed that their marriage had ended.

The singer later admitted that personal mistakes, including infidelity, contributed to the breakdown of the relationship.

Following the split, Michelotti filed legal action seeking compensation, claiming that she had made significant financial contributions during the early stages of Harmonize’s music career and business ventures.

Their legal dispute attracted considerable attention in Tanzania and across East Africa, with fans closely following developments surrounding the case.

The two parties resolved the matter through an out-of-court agreement, avoiding a prolonged court battle.

Neither party has publicly disclosed the full terms of the settlement.

Since the end of the marriage, Harmonize has continued to focus on his music career and business ventures.

The singer is the founder of Konde Music Worldwide, a label he launched after leaving WCB Wasafi.

Over the years, he has released several successful songs and collaborations that have kept him among the most recognizable artists in the East African music scene.

Michelotti, on the other hand, has largely stayed away from the public spotlight since the breakup.
