NAIROBI, Kenya – Popular Hot 96 radio presenter Nick Odhiambo escaped unhurt after his car was involved in a serious accident on New Year’s Eve, leaving the vehicle extensively damaged.

The veteran broadcaster revealed the incident in a social media post on January 1, 2026, attributing the crash to fatigue.

“Everything was going really well until I decided to drive while exhausted… seems like I might have to get another car soon. Goodbye my cute A5,” Odhiambo wrote on Facebook.

Car Extensively Damaged

Images shared online showed the front section of his car badly wrecked, though Odhiambo did not disclose the exact location of the crash.

Despite the damage, he expressed relief that the incident had not turned tragic.

He also penned an emotional message to his children, promising to be more cautious in the future.

“To my kids, I won’t let you down again. I am grateful that it didn’t go as badly as it could have gone,” he added.

Odhiambo has been a household name in Kenyan media for nearly two decades. He began his career at Classic 105 in 2006, later moved to Radio Maisha, and joined Hot 96 in 2021, where he co-hosts the breakfast show alongside veteran journalist Jeff Koinange.

Beyond radio, Odhiambo has appeared in popular television productions such as Auntie Boss and The XYZ Show, earning recognition for his commanding voice and humor.
