Social media personality Kemunto Diana has addressed speculation surrounding her decision to unfollow Kenyan musician Iyanii on Instagram, clarifying that their association came to an end after what she described as the conclusion of a “contract.”
Speaking during a candid interview, Kemunto responded to questions about the unfollowing, which had sparked online chatter after fans noticed the two were no longer connected on Instagram despite previously appearing close.
“Nikontract ilifikia mwisho,” she said during the interview, explaining that the relationship had reached its natural conclusion.
Kemunto’s explanation comes after social media users began questioning why she and Iyanii were no longer following each other online.
The move fueled speculation that the two had fallen out, especially since they had previously been seen spending time together and appearing friendly both online and offline.
Addressing the speculation directly, Kemunto maintained that there was no wrongdoing on either side and dismissed claims of conflict.
“Hakuna mtu amekosea,” she stated, adding that neither she nor Iyanii was at fault.

She described their bond as one rooted in friendship and companionship rather than long-term dating.
“We had a good time. We used to hang out. We were really close,” she said.
However, she emphasized that while Iyanii is a good person, the relationship was not meant to progress further.
“Yani ni mtu mzuri, lakini si wa kudate,” Kemunto explained.
Despite confirming that the relationship has ended, Kemunto spoke positively about the impact Iyanii had on her personal growth.
She noted that her time with the musician brought about a shift in how she viewed relationships and herself.
One of the key takeaways she highlighted was change. Something she admitted she never thought possible for herself.
“There are things I used to believe I could never change about myself,” she said. “But the moment he came into my life, I had a very different perspective about relationships.”
Kemunto credited Iyanii with helping her see things differently.“One thing I can say is the change that came with him,” she stated.
“We had a good time,” she reiterated.
