‘Shida Ni Mimi’: MCA Tricky Opens Up on Why He’s Not Ready for Marriage Yet

Comedian and media personality MCA Tricky has candidly opened up about his views on marriage during a recent interview.

Speaking on AM Live with Mwakideu, Tricky shared a deeply personal perspective on why he has not yet taken the step into marriage revealing that his hesitation is rooted in something many people quietly struggle with: fear.

“Bro nataka sana kuwa,” he admitted when asked if he wants to get married. But behind that desire lies a deeper internal conflict.

According to Tricky, the biggest challenge isn’t external pressure or timing, it’s himself.

“Shida ya kwanza ni mimi,” he said, acknowledging that he has had to confront his own mindset.

The comedian went on to explain that his hesitation is largely driven by a fear of failure, something shaped by his awareness of how difficult life can get when things go wrong.

“I think I’ve been having so much fear of failure because I know what bad life looks like,” he shared.

For Tricky, the concern isn’t just about getting married, but about what happens after.

“I don’t want to do something that might deconstruct me,” he added, highlighting the weight he associates with such a life decision.

Perhaps the most striking moment of the interview came when Tricky described marriage as a risk, one of the biggest a person can take.

“The biggest risk in life is marriage,” he said.
