Ghanaian YouTuber and digital creator Wode Maya and his wife, Kenyan content creator Miss Trudy, have confirmed that they already welcomed their baby, with the child being born in the United States.
Wode Maya, whose real name is Berthold Kobina Winkler Ackon, disclosed that Miss Trudy had already given birth while they were in the U.S.
The YouTuber confirmed that the baby’s arrival was not speculative but had already happened.
“My wife has already given birth, and we are grateful everything went well,” he said.
While the couple has chosen to keep details such as the baby’s name and exact birth date private, Wode Maya’s confirmation marked their first public acknowledgment that the child had already been born.
Addressing growing public interest, Wode Maya explained that medical advice influenced their decision to travel overseas.
He stated that doctors recommended access to specific healthcare facilities during the pregnancy, which led them to choose the United States for the delivery.
“The doctors advised us to come here because of the pregnancy, and we followed that advice,” he explained.
He emphasized that the decision was not driven by status or convenience but by the need to prioritize Miss Trudy’s health and ensure a safe delivery.

Wode Maya was also candid about the financial implications of giving birth in the United States, acknowledging that the process was expensive.
He revealed that the couple had to make significant sacrifices to meet medical and living costs during their stay.
“I spent a lot of money, but when it comes to your family and your child, money should not be the issue,” he said.
“People will always talk, but what mattered to me was my wife’s health and the life of our child,” he said, dismissing criticism surrounding the choice.
He added that the outcome, a safe delivery, justified the difficult and costly decision.
The birth of their baby comes after a long and emotional journey to parenthood. Wode Maya and Miss Trudy have previously spoken about experiencing miscarriages.
