Digital Strategist Pauline Njoroge Sets the Record Straight on Marriage Claims

Political strategist and commentator Pauline Njoroge has finally responded to swirling online allegations that she is dating a married man, firmly dismissing the claims as baseless and manufactured gossip.

For several days, social media has been awash with posts suggesting that Njoroge is romantically linked to a man identified as Charles Wairumbi, who is allegedly married to another woman.

The accusations, circulated largely by gossip blogs and “tea masters” on X and Facebook, painted her as a “husband snatcher” and even included claims that her relationship had caused turmoil in an existing marriage.

Some of the stories went as far as alleging that Wairumbi had abandoned his wife to attend Njoroge’s birthday celebrations and that he had previously fathered a child with his wife. The allegations, amplified through screenshots and viral threads, quickly spread across Kenya’s online spaces, thrusting Njoroge into the spotlight once again.

In a strongly worded statement posted on her social media pages, Njoroge directly addressed the matter, denying that she had broken up anyone’s marriage.

“Since the tea masters have decided to make me the subject on these streets, let me set the record straight: I did not break up any marriage,” she wrote. “Life happens. Sometimes two good people meet, try to build something together, and along the way it doesn’t work out. They part ways, move on, and later meet other people with whom they start new chapters.”

She further rubbished the suggestion that her partner had abandoned another woman to be with her.

“He did not leave another woman at home, nor was he dressed by another woman to attend my function. That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. What’s shocking is the lengths some people will go to manufacture a tea moment, even dragging in photos of innocent children and parents to force a narrative,” she said.

Concluding her response, Njoroge made it clear she did not intend to fuel the speculation any further. “That’s all I have to say about this matter. Wishing you all a good day, friends,” she signed off.

In Njoroge’s case, screenshots of photos allegedly linking her to Wairumbi were widely shared, with some bloggers framing the narrative around morality and marriage. Others, however, questioned the motives behind the accusations, suggesting that the controversy was being amplified to damage her reputation.

As a digital strategist who has worked closely with political campaigns, Njoroge is no stranger to being a trending topic, but the intensity of the recent claims appears to have struck a personal nerve, prompting her rare direct rebuttal.

This is not the first time Njoroge has had to confront personal rumors. In previous years, she dismissed viral claims linking her romantically to other public figures, framing them as politically motivated distractions.

Observers note that the timing of the latest allegations is significant. Njoroge has recently been navigating legal battles and heightened public scrutiny, making her an easy target for gossip blogs seeking viral content.

While Pauline has made her position clear, the other parties named in the allegations — Charles Wairumbi and his purported wife, Njoki — have not publicly commented on the matter. Their silence has left room for speculation, with different groups interpreting it either as quiet confirmation or as disinterest in engaging with gossip.
