Taking to Instagram, Onyango shared a message expressing pride in the younger generation for taking the lead in mobilizing Kenyans to participate in the democratic process.

In the post, she emphasized the importance of voter registration and highlighted how Gen Z has been actively pushing for greater participation across communities.

“Personally. Individually. As myself, niko kadi,” Onyango wrote, referencing the popular phrase used to indicate that one is registered to vote.

She added that she was proud of Kenyan Gen Zs who are leading the push for more citizens to register.

The award-winning broadcaster said the enthusiasm and dedication shown by young people in encouraging civic participation is inspiring and deserves recognition. She also made it clear that she supports the movement being driven by the younger generation.

“So proud of all the Kenyan Gen Zs leading the push for Kenyans to register to vote,” she wrote, noting that the way young people are stepping up for the country reflects a strong sense of responsibility and awareness about the importance of participating in national affairs.

In her message, Onyango gave special recognition to youth mobilizer Ademba Allans, who she said had played a key role in helping register hundreds of new voters in Nairobi.

“Special shoutout to Ademba Allans who today, alongside other young Kenyans, mobilized over 600 new registrations in Kasarani! Incredible!” she wrote.

Through social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and X, young Kenyans frequently organize discussions, awareness campaigns, and mobilization drives related to governance and civic rights.
