American YouTube star iShowSpeed has shattered digital records during his ongoing Kenya tour, with his 5-hour livestream being watched over 8,431,301 times just hours after going live.

The broadcast, which included in-person fan interactions, street adventures, and a helicopter flyover of Nairobi, also helped him gain over 360,000 new subscribers, the largest single-session growth of his tour so far.

The livestream marked a milestone for the global content creator, who has been documenting his “Speed Does Africa” tour across Kenya.

Fans from Nairobi and beyond tuned in to watch Speed’s high-energy content, with many following the entire 5-hour broadcast live.

Record-Breaking Viewer Engagement

During peak times, the livestream attracted more than 200,000 concurrent viewers, showcasing the massive reach of Speed’s content in Kenya.

Analysts attribute the surge to a combination of Speed’s interactive style, local cultural elements, and real-time engagement with fans, creating a unique viewing experience.

The broadcast included stops at iconic Nairobi locations, fan meetups, and a helicopter tour over the city, where Speed celebrated his growing digital influence.

Kenya has emerged as the country contributing the most new subscribers during the African leg of his tour.

“This 5-hour session has been insane,” said Speed.

Kenya: Leading the Tour in Digital Impact

Local digital analysts have hailed the performance as a testament to Kenya’s vibrant online community.

With a high concentration of Gen Z and millennial viewers active on YouTube, Kenya has become a key driver of global content consumption, enabling creators like iShowSpeed to achieve unprecedented growth.

The livestream not only entertained but also showcased Kenyan culture, streets, and fan energy, making it one of the most memorable online events during the tour.
