Kim Kardashian Admits ChatGPT Made Her Fail Law Tests

Kim Kardashian has revealed that her unlikely ‘study partner’ — ChatGPT — has not always been a reliable friend.

The reality-TV-star-turned-law-student admitted in a recent BBC interview that the popular AI chatbot has sometimes given her wrong answers, leading her to fail law tests.

Speaking candidly about her ongoing legal studies, Kim said she occasionally turns to ChatGPT when revising for her exams.

“When I need to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there,” she told the interviewer. But the results haven’t always been impressive. “It has made me fail tests … all the time,” she confessed with a laugh.

Kim, who has been studying law through a four-year apprenticeship program in California, described her relationship with the AI tool in one word: “frenemy.” Asked whether ChatGPT had been helpful overall, she smiled and replied, “Yes — a frenemy.”

The star went on to say that while ChatGPT can sometimes provide fast, detailed information, it also makes mistakes that have tripped her up in practice tests. “I’ll get mad and yell at it,” she admitted. “But then it will say something like, ‘This is teaching you to trust your own instincts. You knew the answer all along.’”

The BBC clip quickly circulated on social media, drawing amused reactions from fans and tech watchers alike. Some praised Kim for being open about the pitfalls of AI in everyday use, while others teased her for depending on a chatbot to prepare for legal exams.

One fan on X joked, “Kim failing because of ChatGPT makes her the most relatable person alive.” Another wrote, “Even billionaires get wrong answers from AI.”

Kim’s confession adds a new twist to her much-discussed journey toward becoming a lawyer — a path she began several years ago after her work on criminal-justice reform and advocacy for wrongly convicted prisoners.

She has spoken publicly about how difficult the process has been, explaining that the ‘baby bar’ and subsequent tests require hundreds of study hours each month.

Her latest comment, however, brings humor and humility to that process. For someone often seen as an image-perfect entrepreneur, Kim’s willingness to admit that she argued with a chatbot — and lost — makes her legal journey feel more down-to-earth.

Interestingly, Kim herself seemed to take the experience as a learning moment. “It’s teaching me to trust my instincts,” she said, suggesting that the mishaps have reinforced her confidence in her own reasoning.

Beyond the humor, the moment fits neatly into Kim’s ongoing reinvention. Once known mostly for reality television and fashion, she has gradually repositioned herself as a serious student of law and a voice for reform.

Her partnership with AI — and its failures — adds a touch of 21st-century irony to that narrative: the influencer learning to navigate both the justice system and artificial intelligence.

Instead, she used the moment to laugh at herself and share a broader takeaway.
