NAIROBI, Kenya – The estranged wife of popular gospel artist and philanthropist Karangu Muraya, Trizah, has taken to social media to share a deeply personal plea: “Pray for my son.”
In an emotional Facebook post, Trizah revealed that her firstborn son is struggling to cope in the aftermath of her highly publicized separation from Muraya.
According to her, the boy has refused to join a boarding school and is currently not speaking to her—signs she fears may be rooted in the trauma of the breakup.
“Despite the calm after the storm, all is not well,” she wrote, hinting that behind the quiet front, her family is still navigating emotional turbulence.

Her post quickly sparked a wave of support and advice from followers, many of them mothers who shared similar experiences.
A number of them encouraged Trizah to heed her son’s wishes and consider enrolling him in a day school instead, suggesting that forcing him into boarding could deepen the emotional rift.
One comment that gained significant attention came from a Facebook user named Pst Ndirangu, who wrote:
“Enrolling in a day school will facilitate a stronger bond between you and him. Strive to be both a mother and a friend to him, and you will not regret it. Boys frequently form emotional attachments to their mothers, much like girls do with their fathers.”
Trizah, who has remained largely out of the spotlight since the separation, told fans in the comment section that she is on a healing journey.
She maintained that she is trying to do what’s best for her children while remaining composed despite the emotional toll.
There has been no public drama between her and Karangu Muraya in recent weeks, a stark contrast to the earlier stages of their separation which drew significant online attention.
However, her latest post suggests the effects of their split continue to ripple through the family—particularly through the eyes of a child caught in between.
