Singer Douglas Mayanja, better known as Weasel Manizo, is currently admitted to Nsambya Hospital after allegedly being knocked down by his long-time partner, Sandra Teta, in a shocking domestic incident.
The drama unfolded at Shan’s Bar in Munyonyo, a popular Kampala hangout, where eyewitnesses say a heated argument between the Goodlyfe singer and Teta spiraled out of control—culminating in a violent confrontation that left Weasel with fractured legs and his partner in police custody.
What started as a seemingly ordinary night quickly turned tragic. Reports suggest that the couple, who have had a tumultuous relationship in the public eye, began arguing inside the bar before taking the confrontation outside. It’s here that events allegedly took a dangerous turn.
According to multiple eyewitnesses and confirmed police reports, Sandra got behind the wheel of a vehicle and allegedly struck Weasel several times, pinning him down and causing severe injuries to his lower limbs.
The scene reportedly turned chaotic as bystanders rushed to separate the two and offer first aid to the injured singer.
Weasel was quickly rushed to Nsambya Hospital, where doctors have since confirmed that he sustained multiple fractures, but remains in stable condition and out of immediate danger.
While official medical reports have not been released, insiders close to the Mayanja family have told press that Weasel may require surgery and several weeks of recovery.

Meanwhile, the drama has taken a legal turn. Sandra Teta is now in police custody at Kabalagala Police Station and is facing charges related to unlawful wounding. Kampala Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest in a statement, saying investigations are ongoing and that they are treating the matter with the seriousness it deserves.
Sandra, who is the mother of Weasel’s children, has not yet issued a public statement.
