NAIROBI, Kenya- The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohamed Amin, has conducted a security assessment tour in Marsabit County as part of ongoing efforts by the National Police Service to strengthen security and improve service delivery in remote areas.
Amin on Thursday visited North Horr Police Station, where he was received by North Horr Sub-County Police Commander Samuel Kiplong, alongside officers drawn from various security units operating in the area.
During the visit, the DCI Director inspected security operations and addressed officers in an interactive session, emphasising the importance of professionalism, discipline and dedication to duty.
He urged officers to uphold integrity and maintain public trust while carrying out their responsibilities.

“He reminded officers that professionalism and discipline are key pillars of effective policing and community trust,” a police official said.
The DCI Director was accompanied by Assistant Inspector General Ibrahim Jillo, the Director of the National Central Bureau (NCB) at the DCI, and Assistant Inspector General Adan Guyo, the Officer Commanding Capital Markets at the DCI Investigations Bureau.
Also present were North Horr Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer Job Wafula and Sub-County Administration Police Commander Paul Kathenya, among other senior officers.
The visit underscores the National Police Service’s commitment to enhancing security in Marsabit County and ensuring residents are able to go about their activities in a safe and peaceful environment during the festive season and beyond.
