MOMBASA, Kenya – Governor Abdulswamad Nassir has appointed Maurice Ogeta, who previously served as a bodyguard and security advisor to late founding party leader Raila Odinga, as Advisor on Security Affairs in the County Government of Mombasa.
The appointment, made following the establishment of new positions by the Mombasa County Public Service Board, taps into Ogeta’s decades of security experience at local, regional, and international levels.
Governor Nassir said Ogeta’s expertise will be critical in addressing emerging security challenges in the coastal city.
“Mr. Ogeta brings unparalleled experience in security management, and his insight will strengthen our efforts to make Mombasa safer for all residents,” Governor Nassir said.
