New CCTV Footage Shows Final Moments of Man Before Deadly 14th-Floor Fall in Kilimani

Date:

Detectives have pieced together a chilling hour-by-hour reconstruction of the final moments of Festus Oromo, the man who fell to his death from a 14th-floor apartment in Kilimani — and the footage reveals a tense confrontation moments before the fatal plunge.

What began as a normal check-in on the evening of November 28, 2025, quickly evolved into a complex web of movements, shifting company, and a late-night scuffle now at the centre of a homicide investigation.

A Routine Visit Turns Into a Critical Timeline

Surveillance footage shows Oromo arriving at Apartment B1406 earlier that evening. Twelve minutes later, a delivery rider — face concealed by a scarf — hands over a package to Julius, one of the occupants, before leaving.

Nothing unusual. Nothing dramatic.

Nine hours later, everything changes.

At 01:06am, a man identified as Patrick steps out of B1406, lingers for a minute, then re-enters. He is dressed in a black hoodie, blue jeans, black shoes and carrying a tan-brown bag.

Seven minutes later, at 01:13, he reappears with Oromo beside him. Oromo holds Patrick by the shoulders, while Patrick grips a drink in his right hand.

The two briefly return inside, chat at the door, and leave the unit together — seemingly in good spirits.

Moments later, Patrick returns in different clothing: black vest, shorts, sandals. He walks to the lift.

Just two minutes after that, at 01:15, Oromo comes back alone. He knocks on the apartment door, walks toward the lift, then circles back to the door.

The Scuffle Inside Apartment B1406

At 01:16am, Oromo enters B1406 again. This is where the footage becomes critical.

For the first time that night, CCTV captures a clear confrontation.

Oromo appears in a visible physical scuffle with a woman now identified as Lillian Mbeki. The door swings shut as the struggle continues inside.

That scuffle marks Festus Oromo’s final recorded moments inside the apartment.

The Fatal Fall and Rapid Police Response

Forty-one minutes later — at 01:57am — cameras on the ground floor record the moment Festus’s body crashes onto the roof of a white vehicle parked below.

Night guards rush toward the car. Detectives from Kilimani later confirm he was already unresponsive.

The incident immediately triggered a criminal investigation.

Police have since arrested Patrick and Lillian, who are being detained for 14 days as detectives examine the footage, collect forensic evidence, and interrogate witnesses.

Investigators believe the scuffle inside the apartment is key to unraveling what happened before the fatal fall.

Meanwhile, Oromo’s family has moved his body from City Mortuary to John Kago Mortuary as the probe enters a deeper phase.
