Kenyan media personality Kamene Goro has revealed that she recently spent more than a month in hospital, including time in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Taking to her Instagram stories, the outspoken presenter disclosed that she had been hospitalised for 36 days, undergoing surgeries and receiving treatment in the ICU before finally being discharged.
Although she did not reveal the exact nature of the illness or medical emergency, Kamene hinted that the experience dramatically changed her life and said she would eventually share the full story.
In the emotional message, Kamene said the experience began about 45 days ago, describing it as a difficult and life-altering journey.
She told her followers that while she is now out of the hospital, the ordeal was one of the most challenging moments of her life.
“I am no longer in the hospital, my loves. Today marked one week since I was discharged, a major milestone for someone who had slim chances,” she wrote.
The media personality revealed that she underwent surgeries and intensive treatment before being moved to a private ward as her condition improved.
“I spent 36 days in hospital, surgeries, ICU, HDU, and finally in private,” she shared.
Her message indicated that doctors initially feared the worst, making her recovery even more significant.
Kamene said she will eventually explain what happened, but for now, she wanted to focus on expressing gratitude for surviving the experience.
“One day, when I have come to terms with it, I will share with you what happened,” she added.
Throughout the post, Kamene repeatedly credited her survival and recovery to faith, describing the experience as a spiritual awakening.
She said the ordeal reinforced her belief that God works through people and circumstances, even in the most difficult situations.
“I wanted to share with you that God is God. He works in everything, through everything and in everyone,” she wrote.
She also emphasised that nothing is greater than divine power.

“I have seen that there is absolutely nothing that God cannot do. There is absolutely nothing bigger than His might, power and the love He has for you.”
Her message ended with a declaration of faith, writing: “He is Jehovah. He is God.”
Kamene also used the opportunity to address rumours and speculation that had been circulating during her absence from the public eye.
Without directly mentioning specific claims, she urged people who were not close to her situation to stop spreading misinformation.
“Finally, for those who were not part of the very few who know what happened and walked this journey with me, please stop speculating and spreading and perpetuating falsehoods,” she said.
She added that the ordeal was deeply personal and should not be trivialised or turned into gossip.
“You don’t taint God’s work or make a mockery of my journey,” she wrote.
Despite being discharged from the hospital, Kamene acknowledged that her recovery is far from over.
She said she still faces a long and painful road to full recovery, but remains grateful to have survived the medical crisis.
“I have a long, hard, and painful recovery ahead of me, but I am happy and grateful that I am here,” she said.
