Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and Nigerian actress and influencer Priscilla Ojo are officially parents. The couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada this week.
The news broke on Sunday night after Priscilla’s mother, Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, took to Instagram to share pictures from the hospital, cradling her grandson while beaming with joy.
She captioned the post with celebratory words, declaring herself the “sexiest grandma in town” and calling her grandson “cutest”.

The baby boy’s arrival comes just four months after Jux and Priscy tied the knot in a series of lavish ceremonies that captured headlines across Africa—first with a traditional Islamic wedding, followed by a civil union, and finally a grand reception attended by celebrities from both Tanzania and Nigeria.
Born in Canada, Prince Rakeem has quickly become a symbol of the high-profile union between East and West Africa’s entertainment industries. The couple had earlier teased his arrival during their gender reveal party on August 21, where bursts of blue smoke confirmed they were expecting a boy.
Within hours of the birth announcement, fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the couple. What caught even more attention, however, was the creation of an Instagram account dedicated to baby Rakeem.
Managed by his parents, the page—set up immediately after the announcement—racked up over 50,000 followers in less than 12 hours. By the next day, the number had nearly doubled, placing him among the fastest-growing baby accounts on the continent.

The first post on the page, a simple black-and-white photo of his tiny hands with the caption “Prince is here”, attracted thousands of likes and comments from fans and celebrities alike. Stars such as Diamond Platnumz, Tiwa Savage, and Zuchu were among the early well-wishers to leave comments.
The couple has celebrated their bundle of joy with photos of their baby on their respective Instagram accounts.
The posts have since trended across East and West Africa.
