Celebrated Kenyan entrepreneur and influencer Mitchelle Ntalami is officially two years sober.
In a post shared across her social media platforms on Tuesday, the Marini Naturals founder reflected on her two-year journey of sobriety, calling it one of the most transformative decisions of her life.
“Today, I celebrate 2 years of sobriety. I made the conscious decision to cut out alcohol from my life on August 6th, 2023,” she wrote. “And I’ve never looked back.”
Ntalami, known for her empowering messages and bold online presence, accompanied the message with a radiant photo of herself dressed in white, a symbol she said represented “a clean slate, clarity, and divine alignment.”
In her emotional reflection, Ntalami revealed that the decision came at a time when her life was undergoing deep personal shifts — spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.“I wanted to show up for myself fully. No crutches. No numbing. Just presence,” she shared. “I chose myself.”
Though she didn’t go into the details of what led her to quit drinking, fans online have followed her evolution over the years — from heartbreaks and public relationships, to moments of spiritual awakening and personal growth. In recent months, she has also leaned more into faith and purpose, often referencing God and divine guidance in her posts.

Ntalami’s public embrace of sobriety is consistent with her recent messaging around self-love, intentional living, and healing. From launching wellness campaigns to speaking out on issues of emotional abuse and relationship red flags, she has positioned herself not just as a beauty mogul but as a voice for inner transformation.
Her followers have noted how her content over the last year has changed — less focused on aesthetics and more on authenticity, healing, and spiritual grounding.
“Everything changed when I started pouring into my soul instead of my ego,” she wrote in a previous post.

Her journey toward sobriety now appears to be a natural extension of this deeper work.
As she celebrates two years free of alcohol, Ntalami says the benefits have been beyond just physical health. She cites better mental clarity, stronger spiritual connection, more authentic relationships, and a new sense of peace.
“Do it for you. And when it gets tough, remember who you are without the noise,” she wrote.
