The gathering comes against a backdrop of escalating insecurity in various regions in the country.
In the North Rift, a chief was tragically killed in a bandit attack in Loruk, Baringo North, raising concerns over the safety of local administrators.
Additionally, a brutal assault by suspected Al Shabaab militants in Garissa County on Sunday left six people dead and four others injured.
The militants targeted a National Police Reservist Camp in Hagadera Sub-location, using assorted weapons to overrun the site.
The incidents underscore the urgency of initiatives like Operation Maliza Uhalifu and the broader government effort to strengthen security infrastructure.
