NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenyan luxury fashion designer Bolo Bespoke has revealed the prices of his exclusive custom suits for the first time, ending years of speculation surrounding the cost of his high-end creations that have long adorned celebrities and business elites.

In a statement released online on Thursday, November 6, 2025, Bolo said the decision came after years of persistent requests from clients asking for transparency on his pricing model.

The designer, known for his meticulous craftsmanship and signature sharp-cut tailoring, said the revelation marks a new era for his brand—one defined by openness rather than secrecy.

“Due to public demand! For the past decade in the fashion industry, we’ve always avoided displaying our product prices. But you—our esteemed clients—kept asking us to post them. Now that we finally do, the backlash is unreal,” Bolo wrote.

He clarified that none of the prices had changed, only that they were now public. “Funny thing is, the prices haven’t changed at all—we just said them out loud this time! You asked for it, and it’s here to stay. Buckle up, juu bei sasa lazima mjue! Chesa,” he added.

Among the newly disclosed prices, one of the designer’s most exclusive pieces—a Black Super 250 Suit—is valued at Sh499,666. The figure stunned many admirers online, sparking widespread discussion about luxury pricing and affordability in Kenya’s fashion scene.

Despite the criticism, Bolo defended the cost, explaining that each suit reflects intricate handwork, imported premium fabrics, and a detailed tailoring process that aligns with global luxury standards.

“Our work has always reflected quality and dedication to craftsmanship. What clients pay for is precision, luxury, and legacy,” he noted.

For over a decade, Bolo Bespoke has been a prominent name in Kenya’s fashion industry, with clientele including A-list entertainers, politicians, and corporate leaders.

His designs have been showcased at major red-carpet events and private ceremonies, establishing him as one of East Africa’s most sought-after tailors.

Fashion analysts say the move to publish prices signals a bold shift toward transparency in a sector where exclusivity often thrives on mystery. “Luxury brands rarely reveal their prices upfront, so Bolo’s decision breaks convention,” said a Nairobi-based fashion consultant.

“It also reflects confidence in the product and an understanding that high fashion now needs to justify its value proposition.”

The designer affirmed that price visibility will remain a permanent feature of the Bolo Bespoke brand moving forward. “You asked for it, and it’s here to stay,” he reiterated, signalling a confident embrace of both the praise and controversy his disclosure has stirred.
