Mohamud’s election is seen as an endorsement of Kenya’s progress in combating graft, as the EACC continues to prevent the loss of public funds through proactive investigations, asset recovery, and high-profile prosecutions.

The Commission has also been instrumental in securing convictions and reclaiming proceeds of corruption.

With this appointment, Mohamud will play a key role in shaping international anti-corruption policies while expanding Kenya’s cooperation with other anti-graft agencies worldwide.

His position on IAACA’s Executive Committee is expected to bolster cross-border collaboration and enhance efforts to combat corruption at both national and global levels.
