Las Vegas is known for its over-the-top spectacles, but even by Sin City standards, what unfolded this past weekend was almost too wild to believe. A French lookalike of Justin Bieber managed to trick his way into one of the city’s hottest nightclubs, convincing security, staff, and even the DJ that the global superstar himself had arrived for a surprise performance.
The bizarre incident took place on Saturday night at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas, where EDM favorite DJ Gryffin was headlining. Midway through his set, the DJ welcomed who he thought was Bieber onto the stage.
The imposter—later identified as Dylan Desclos, a 29-year-old from Normandy, France—played the part perfectly, donning tattoos, baggy streetwear, and oversized shades. With the lights low and the crowd buzzing, the illusion worked.
To the roaring approval of the crowd, Desclos grabbed the mic and lip-synced to Bieber’s smash hit “Sorry,” moving across the stage as if he owned it. Video clips quickly spread online, showing fans screaming, phones raised high, convinced they were witnessing an unannounced Justin Bieber moment. For about 10 surreal minutes, the nightclub audience was completely sold.

But things began to unravel once whispers spread backstage. Staff noticed inconsistencies—the tattoos didn’t match perfectly, the security team hadn’t been notified of any Bieber appearance, and the entourage seemed suspiciously amateur. Within moments, the nightclub realized they’d been duped.
Still, the impersonator’s night of mischief didn’t come cheap. Reports confirm he racked up an eye-watering $10,000 bar tab during the stunt, which he actually paid before being escorted out. According to Wynn Resorts management, Desclos and his team have now been banned for life from all Wynn properties.
For his part, Desclos is no stranger to the spotlight. He’s built a modest following by leaning into his uncanny resemblance to the Canadian pop icon. Saturday’s stunt was by far his boldest—and most successful—attempt at stepping into Bieber’s shoes, albeit briefly.
While the real Justin Bieber has yet to comment on the bizarre affair, the story has already cemented itself as one of the strangest celebrity-adjacent moments of the year. It also raises questions about how easily even seasoned venues can be fooled when a convincing impersonator walks through the door with confidence.
