Kalonzo Musyoka Blasts Ruto Government Over Corruption and Mismanagement

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a blistering attack on President William Ruto’s administration, accusing it of presiding over systemic corruption, economic mismanagement, and political intolerance.

In a statement released on Tuesday, September 2, Kalonzo claimed Kenyans were reeling under what he termed a “disgraced regime” riddled with scandals and schemes to sell off public assets cheaply.

“Scandal after scandal and attempts to sell off Kenya’s crucial infrastructure on the cheap are the modus operandi of this regime. This is why Kenyans simply have #WANTAM! as their number one agenda,” Kalonzo said.

Education in Crisis

He accused the government of neglecting the education sector, citing delayed release of capitation funds that has seen pupils sent home for lack of fees.

He added that some university students received SMS confirmations of fee credits only to be turned away on admission day.

“Basic education is a constitutional right. Capitation must be released today, not tomorrow. Mr Ruto, stop playing with Kenya’s future,” the former Vice President said.

“Healthcare Corruption is Genocide”

Kalonzo also faulted the Social Health Authority (SHA), accusing it of embezzling Sh10.6 billion through fake hospitals and patient files while legitimate mission hospitals were starved of funding.

He added that the Sh104.8 billion non-competitive contract awarded to a consortium for Kenya’s digital healthcare system amounted to theft.

“As the Government-in-Waiting, we will insist on the perpetrators being tried for crimes against humanity. Corruption in the healthcare sector is genocide, plain and simple,” Kalonzo declared.

The Wiper leader further questioned the presence of foreign troops in Mandera County, terming it “occupation under international law,” and warned the Ruto regime against interfering with Karura Forest and East African Portland Cement Company lands.

With the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) set to begin voter registration on September 29, 2025, Kalonzo urged Kenyans to register in large numbers to “rescue and reclaim the country” from what he called a rotten regime.

“Together, we shall #KomboaKenya,” he concluded.
