NAIROBI, Kenya– Nairobi has been recognized as Africa’s Leading Business Travel Destination 2025 at the World Travel Awards, reaffirming its position as a continental leader in tourism and hospitality
This honour underscores Nairobi’s growing reputation as a regional hub for business, innovation, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.
According to Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano, the move reflects Kenya’s broader commitment to promoting excellence, sustainability, and world-class service across its tourism sector.
“Nairobi proudly claimed the title of Africa’s Leading Business Travel Destination 2025, reaffirming our capital as a powerhouse for business, MICE tourism and innovation on the continent,” she said.
Kenya’s hospitality industry also made a strong impression, with establishments such as Emboo Safari Camp, JW Marriott Nairobi, and Radisson Blu Nairobi Upper Hill earning recognition for their innovative approaches and commitment to sustainability.
These accolades, the government says demonstrate the country’s efforts to position itself as a global benchmark for eco-conscious and luxury travel.
As the country looks ahead to the WTA Grand Final in Bahrain this December, the Ministry of Tourism remains focused on strengthening Kenya’s global tourism footprint through strategic investment, partnerships, and destination marketing.
