NTSA Publishes Updated List of Approved Vehicle Body Builders and Speed Limiter Suppliers

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has released its updated list of approved motor vehicle body builders, conformity assessors, and licensed speed limiter suppliers for August 2025.

In a notice issued on Friday, NTSA said the update is part of its mandate under the NTSA Act No. 33 of 2012 and the Traffic Act (CAP 403) to strengthen compliance and enhance road safety across the country.

The authority stressed that all registered body builders must meet the Kenya Standard KS 372:2019, which requires bus bodies to be safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.

“Conformity Assessors are required to issue certificates of conformity and affix the VIN Plate on the body of the vehicle as proof of conformance to the Standard,” NTSA said.
