KAMPALA, Uganda — Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Gerald Twishimye has assured the public that police are taking measures to guarantee the safety of all Ugandans throughout the festive period.
In an update shared on Tuesday, Twishimye said security agencies remain on high alert to ensure the protection of citizens and their property as holiday activities continue across the country.
He reassured Ugandans of sustained police presence and coordination, noting that law enforcement officers have been deployed to key areas to deter crime and respond swiftly to any incidents.
The assurance comes amid increased travel, social gatherings and commercial activity associated with the festive season, a period that typically requires heightened security operations.
