NAIROBI, Kenya – In a show of commitment to empowering vulnerable youth, President William Ruto has pledged to fully sponsor the education of over 200 needy students studying at PCEA Booth Girls’ High School in Ngong Forest.
The announcement was made through a statement on X, where the President emphasized the importance of holistic education and the empowerment of girls, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
“We are investing in a holistic education for our girls to expose them to more and better opportunities. With equal access to quality education, our girls, especially from vulnerable backgrounds, will be empowered and reach their potential,” Ruto stated.
The President hosted over 220 students from the school for a breakfast at State House, Nairobi, reaffirming his promise made during the March 13, 2025 commissioning of the institution.
As part of this commitment, the students, hailing from underprivileged families, will receive a fully sponsored four-year education program, covering all necessary expenses.

The PCEA Booth Girls’ High School was constructed through a partnership between the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) and Booth Foundation, a charity organization focused on providing world-class, affordable Christian education to students from diverse backgrounds.
This partnership is part of a broader mission to create institutions that foster academic excellence, character development, and leadership skills in a Christian environment.
The vision behind the Booth Schools is to build institutions that not only excel academically but also nurture innovation, creativity, and leadership for the 21st century.
These schools aim to transform students’ lives and society through a rigorous academic curriculum, extracurricular activities, and a strong focus on community service.
In addition to PCEA Booth Girls’ High School, the partnership has established other Booth Schools of Excellence, including PCEA Ongata Booth Girls of Excellence, PCEA Kanjeru Booth Girls High School, and PCEA Mai-A-Ihii Booth Boys High School.
These institutions are part of a growing network of high schools in Kenya committed to providing quality Christian education.
The partnership between PCEA, Booth Foundation, and Nendeni Outreach Programme has been in place since 2019, resulting in significant investments aimed at building and developing high-quality high schools in Kenya.
Last year, the partnership also saw the opening of the PCEA Enoomatasiani Booth School in Matasia, further expanding their reach and impact.
