Priyanka Chopra has touched down in Kenya, setting social media abuzz with snapshots of safaris, local cuisine, and behind-the-scenes glimpses from SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated epic, Globetrotter (SSMB29).
The actress is filming in Nairobi alongside Mahesh Babu, marking her grand return to Indian cinema after a period of global projects.
Globetrotter was initially announced in 2021 and went through several delays and near-cancellations. Reports cited creative rewrites, scheduling conflicts with Rajamouli’s global promotional tour for RRR, and Mahesh Babu’s health concerns as major reasons for postponements.

Before stepping onto the set, Priyanka indulged in a Kenyan safari and gave fans a peek via Instagram Stories. She captured everything from hyenas and hippos to ostriches and buffalo.
It wasn’t just the landscapes that caught Priyanka’s attention. She shared another Instagram Story featuring a plate of ugali paired with vegetables and meat.
She captioned it enthusiastically with “Ugaliiiiiiii love ”—a simple but heartfelt nod to Kenyan food culture that warmed local fans.
Globetrotter, set for release in 2027, has been billed as a cinematic odyssey spanning continents, blending Indian myth with universal adventure. Priyanka’s casting has elevated anticipation worldwide, with her Hollywood credibility expected to attract international audiences.
Previously, Priyanka has visited Kenya in 2022 as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador in Turkana county.
Also in Nairobi is American stand-up star Trevor Wallace. The comedian, best known for his sharp YouTube sketches and sold-out “Are You That Guy?” and “Father Figure” tours across the U.S., made the news known by pinning Nairobi as his location.

Wallace, who commands millions of online followers, hasn’t disclosed details of his visit but, speculation is rife that he could be exploring future international shows or collaborations with Kenyan comedians. In the meantime, he’s been on a Safari.

Kenya’s comedy scene has been on the rise, with acts like Elsa Majimbo and Churchill Show alumni gaining global traction. Wallace’s presence underscores Nairobi’s growing appeal as a cultural hub capable of drawing international entertainment talent.
