NAIROBI, Kenya– Sophos, a global cybersecurity company, has introduced a new upgrade to its Managed Risk service aimed at helping organizations take control of hidden internal system risks before they become dangerous.
The newly added Internal Attack Surface Management (IASM) the company says gives businesses a behind-the-scenes look at their networks, exactly the way a potential hacker would see them.
It’s designed to shine a light on overlooked vulnerabilities like misconfigured systems, open ports, or exposed services that are often the weak spots cybercriminals exploit.
“With this upgrade, we’re giving organizations the visibility and tools they need to act early and smart,” said Rob Harrison, Sophos’ Senior Vice President of Product Management.
“Instead of reacting to attacks, they can now proactively patch weak spots before bad actors find them.”
The IASM feature works using Tenable’s Nessus scanning technology, assessing internal systems without needing credentials, offering a true attacker’s perspective. The results are analyzed and ranked using AI, making it easier for security teams to know where to start.
Likewise, the expanded coverage comes at no extra cost for existing Sophos Managed Risk customers. It’s one more way Sophos is helping organizations stay safe in an increasingly connected world.
