NAIROBI, Kenya — The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) have announced a combined 387 job vacancies across multiple professional and administrative roles, opening new employment opportunities within Kenya’s public sector this month.
The advertised positions span key areas including legal practice, education management, finance, auditing, research, information technology, and office administration, with both institutions urging qualified candidates to submit their applications through official online portals before the respective deadlines.
ODPP Seeks 217 New Employees
The ODPP is seeking to recruit 217 employees to strengthen its operational capacity as it continues to expand prosecution services and support functions across the country.
Among the most significant vacancies are 140 Prosecution Counsel positions at grade DPP Seven, targeting qualified lawyers who will support criminal prosecutions and legal representation within Kenya’s justice system.
Additional roles advertised by the prosecution office include positions for accountants, supply chain management officers, research officers, audit officers, information and communication technology (ICT) specialists, corporate communications officers, clerical officers, and office assistants.
According to the ODPP notice, interested applicants must submit their applications through the agency’s official online careers portal by March 30 at 5 pm.
Shortlisted candidates will later be required to present original identification documents, academic certificates, professional credentials, and transcripts during interviews as part of the government’s standard verification procedures.

TSC Announces 170 Management Positions
At the same time, the Teachers Service Commission has announced 170 vacancies aimed at strengthening teacher management and administrative oversight within the education sector.
Among the senior positions advertised are Senior Deputy Director roles in Human Resource Management and Development, as well as Internal Audit Officers and Deputy Directors responsible for human resource development and risk management functions.
Several other leadership roles have also been advertised, including Principal Officers tasked with overseeing teacher professional management, staffing, and disciplinary processes across the country.
The largest share of the recruitment drive targets 132 Assistant Director Teacher Management field officers, who will supervise, monitor, and coordinate the management of teachers in schools across various regions.
Applicants interested in the TSC positions have been instructed to submit their applications through the commission’s online recruitment portal before 11:59 pm on March 23.
Warning Against Recruitment Fraud
The Teachers Service Commission stressed that the recruitment process is entirely free and warned job seekers against paying any fees at any stage of the application process.
“TSC does not charge any application, processing, interviewing, or any other fee at any stage of the recruitment process,” the commission said in its advisory.
Both agencies also cautioned that applicants who submit fake academic documents or provide misleading information risk disqualification and possible prosecution under the Public Officers Ethics Act, which governs conduct and integrity in public service recruitment.
Officials further clarified that physical applications will not be accepted, emphasizing that all submissions must be made through the respective online recruitment portals.
