MURANG’A, Kenya — A woman believed to be a key player in a regional drug trafficking network has been arrested in a major bust by Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) detectives in Kandara, Murang’a County.
Eunice Wangui Kimani was arrested following a tip-off from members of the public. During a raid at her residence, officers recovered 13 gunny bags packed with bhang, weighing approximately 225 kilograms.
The drugs, with an estimated street value of Sh6.7 million, were found hidden within the premises, along with packaging materials suspected to be used for distribution.
Authorities say the recovery points to a well-established drug trafficking operation.
Kimani is currently in custody and undergoing processing ahead of her arraignment. The recovered narcotics have been secured as evidence.
