Manchester United YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has been awarded broadcast rights to stream Bundesliga matches during the 2025/26 season, marking the first time a fan content creator has been given rights to a major European league.

Goldbridge, whose real name is Brent Di Cesare, rose to prominence through The United Stand, a Manchester United fan channel with more than 2.1 million subscribers.

His watch-alongs and viral rants have made him one of the most recognisable figures in UK football fan media.

The deal will see his second channel, That’s Football, stream 20 live Bundesliga matches on Friday nights as well as produce 34 weekly shows throughout the season.

The platform will share rights with Sky, BBC, Amazon, and Gary Neville’s The Overlap.

“That’s Football will stream 20 live Bundesliga matches on Friday nights as well as creating 34 weekly shows in 25/26 – the first creator channel with official league rights,” the channel announced. “A landmark deal putting That’s Football alongside Sky, BBC and Amazon in the Bundesliga UK strategy.”

The Bundesliga confirmed that the BBC will also air free-to-air Friday fixtures for the next two seasons, while Sky retains the Saturday evening slot and Der Klassiker rights, and Amazon will show Sunday games.

Matches will also stream on the Bundesliga’s official YouTube channel.

The partnership underscores the league’s push to tap into fan-driven digital platforms in the UK.

Goldbridge’s reach has grown significantly in recent years, with The United Stand boasting 2.15 million subscribers and That’s Football attracting 1.38 million.

The move comes amid ongoing debates about the influence of fan creators on football discourse.

Goldbridge has faced criticism from pundits, including former United defender Paul Parker, who accused him of being a Nottingham Forest supporter profiting from United’s struggles.

Despite controversies—including Alejandro Garnacho being reprimanded for engaging with Goldbridge’s criticism of Erik ten Hag—his influence in fan-led media has continued to expand.

The Bundesliga’s tie-up follows a similar move by Spain’s LaLiga, which recently awarded highlights rights to Gary Lineker’s The Rest Is Football podcast.
