AWS, Google, Cisco Among Global Tech Leaders Attending Connected Africa Summit 2025 in Diani

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- Some of the world’s biggest technology firms — including AWS, Google, Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), CheckPoint, and Fortinet — have thrown their weight behind the upcoming Connected Africa Summit 2025, setting the stage for one of the continent’s most influential digital transformation events.

Slated for May 26–29, 2025, at the Diamond Leisure Resort & Spa in Diani, this year’s summit — themed “The Digital Journey: Vision to Reality” marks a shift from lofty tech dreams to real-world implementation.

It’s hosted by Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy in collaboration with the ICT Authority, and it’s already buzzing with anticipation.

“This isn’t just a tech conference,” said Stanley Kamanguya, CEO of the ICT Authority. “It’s a signal that Africa is ready for digital maturity — and global leaders want in.”

From AI to Cybersecurity: A Packed Agenda with Global and Local Power

The four-day summit promises a mix of executive roundtables, sector-specific breakouts, and policy dialogues, with hot topics like AI, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, fintech, and healthtech on the agenda.

The goal? Real talk between government, innovators, and private sector heavyweights — the kind of conversations that spark billion-shilling projects and cross-border partnerships.

Also returning is the Innovation Village, where local startups will showcase homegrown solutions, and the Smart Government Zone, which highlights breakthrough public sector digital initiatives.

The organizers expect over 2,000 attendees spanning government, business, and development sectors.

And yes, there will be plenty of curated networking sessions for anyone looking to spark the next big tech deal.

A Catalyst for Africa’s Digital Future

If the summit’s past editions are any indication, this year’s event could be a game-changer. With the presence of global players like Google and AWS, Africa isn’t just participating in digital transformation — it’s helping shape it.

The backing of these tech heavyweights sends a clear message: Africa’s digital future isn’t pending. It’s happening. And Diani is where the blueprint will unfold.

As Africa takes bolder steps toward a connected future, events like the Connected Africa Summit 2025 prove that the continent isn’t just part of the global tech conversation — it’s hosting the meeting.
