This initiative is a result of collaboration between the State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training of Kenya, the French Ministry of National Education and Youth, Schneider Electric and PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute.

The Centre of Excellence, equipped with advanced didactic benches from Schneider Electric, is designed to provide students with hands-on training and practical experience in electrical and automation systems.

“Our didactic benches meet the highest global standards, providing students with the green skills and knowledge they need to excel in the electrical industry,” he said.

The Centre will also serve as a hub for research, development, and testing of renewable energy and energy-efficient solutions.

By focusing on advancing technologies related to solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources, the Centre aims to drive innovation and excellence in these critical fields.

The French Ministry of National Education and Youth is providing a resident French expert to assist with best practices for teaching methodology and training the trainers.

Ambassador Arnaud Suquet of the French Embassy highlighted their dedication to the project, stating, “We are proud to contribute our expertise to this initiative. Our experts have decades of experience, and we look forward to supporting the development of young talent in the country.”
