Spacetop G1: The Sh245,119 Laptop with No Screen, Only AR

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- The future of computing might just be screenless — at least, that’s what Sightful’s latest innovation, the Spacetop G1, aims to prove.

This Sh245,119 device is challenging the traditional laptop design by completely removing the screen and replacing it with augmented reality (AR). Yes, you read that right — no physical display in sight, but still capable of offering a 100-inch virtual workspace.

At first glance, the Spacetop G1’s specs might seem modest: a Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS8550 processor, 16 GB RAM, and 128 GB of SSD storage. But that’s not what’s going to blow your mind.

The real magic happens when you put on the AR glasses that project a 100-inch virtual screen right in front of you. Think of it as your entire desktop floating in thin air, minus the actual monitor.

Sightful’s innovative glasses use augmented reality to offer the illusion of a large, multi-monitor setup, all while your keyboard stays grounded on your desk.

According to PCWorld, these AR glasses replicate a 90 Hz OLED screen, delivering sharp visuals with a 50-degree field of view and a pixel density of 44 pixels per degree (PPD).

The AR glasses themselves have been thoughtfully designed for comfort. Sightful even allows for custom prescription lenses — ranging from -8.00D to +6.00D — so your vision is crystal clear, whether you’re reading emails or editing a document.

Pre-ordering the Spacetop G1 with your prescription means the custom lenses are shipped with your device, right in the box. This small detail is one of many ways Sightful ensures the user experience is seamless.

The device is expected to officially launch in October, making it one of the most anticipated tech releases of the year.
