Xiaomi Launches Human-Centric Ecosystem Linking Devices, EVs and Homes

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- Xiaomi is taking a bold leap into the future with its latest global strategy, “Human x Car x Home,” an interconnected ecosystem under the banner Xiaomi Universe – Human x Car x Home – Perfectly Synced.

Using the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), this vision seeks to blend personal devices, automobiles, and smart home technologies into a seamless experience.

At its core, the Human x Car x Home ecosystem revolves around a user-centric approach. According to Matt Huang, Country Manager for Xiaomi Kenya, the innovation is designed to deliver an intuitive, integrated experience that enhances everyday life.

Key elements of the ecosystem include flagship smartphones like the Xiaomi MIX series and Redmi Note, AIoT-enabled smart home devices, and Xiaomi’s pioneering venture into electric vehicles.

By synchronizing these technologies, Xiaomi envisions a future where daily tasks become intuitive and effortless, from controlling home appliances to navigating smart cars.

The debut of Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7, marks a significant milestone. This high-performance sedan incorporates advanced technologies like autonomous driving, Smart Cabin systems, and electric motors.

Supported by a massive R&D investment of 10 billion RMB and a dedicated team of over 3,400 engineers, the SU7 promises to challenge conventional automotive boundaries.

Xiaomi’s ambitions don’t end with connectivity. The company has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, bolstered by initiatives like electronic waste recycling and renewable energy projects.

Meanwhile, innovations such as the CyberDog 2, a bio-inspired quadruped robot, showcase Xiaomi’s leadership in robotics and open-source technology, providing new opportunities for developers worldwide.

The brand’s accomplishments extend beyond its tech portfolio. Xiaomi has consistently ranked as the world’s third-largest smartphone brand for 16 consecutive quarters and boasts a global community of 675.8 million monthly active users.

In Kenya, Xiaomi continues to solidify its position, ranking third in the smartphone market with an 11pc share. Beyond devices, the brand emphasizes user satisfaction, offering a standout 24-month warranty on all its products—a feature that resonates with its loyal customer base.
