NAIROBI, Kenya — The release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results has reignited calls for improved infrastructure and resources in schools across the country.
Education expert Henry Indindi said the results highlight ongoing disparities in the learning environment.
“The release of KCSE results highlights a challenge for the government and institutions responsible for providing infrastructure to our learners. We must ensure that all schools are adequately equipped to enable students to perform well, without disparities,” he noted.
Mr. Indindi emphasized the need to support day schools, which often lag behind national schools in performance due to limited resources.
“Day schools, in particular, should be supported and resourced to a level where they can deliver results comparable to those of national schools,” he said.
Analysts argue that addressing infrastructure gaps, such as classrooms, laboratories, and learning materials, is essential for equitable education and improved student outcomes nationwide.
