NAIROBI, Kenya- Looking for a job overseas? Think twice before handing over your documents—especially if the recruiter’s name is CSC Compliancy.
Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has sounded the alarm, calling the company fake and warning job seekers to steer clear until further notice.
On Wednesday, CS Mutua issued a strongly worded statement cautioning Kenyans against dealing with CSC Compliancy, a company claiming to offer job placements in Dubai, UAE.
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: The company 𝘾𝙎𝘾 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙮 is 𝐅𝐀𝐊𝐄 and unregistered. It has not uploaded any job demands, and its activities are unknown to us. We are dispatching our compliance team and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to take necessary action.…
The company doesn’t exist—at least not on the government’s list of approved foreign recruiters.
“The company CSC Compliancy is fake and unregistered. It has not uploaded any job demands, and its activities are unknown to us,” Mutua stated.
Despite its polished online presence, the company has no official ties to Kenya’s National Employment Authority (NEA).
It had advertised job openings for waiters, cleaners, drivers, technicians, storekeepers, and more, asking applicants to submit CVs, passport copies, and recommendation letters—a classic setup for an employment scam.
For many Kenyans eager to secure jobs abroad, this news is a wake-up call. With cases of fake recruitment agencies on the rise, the need for due diligence before engaging with job offers has never been greater.
CS Mutua has forwarded the case to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), instructing them to launch an investigation alongside his ministry’s compliance team.
“We are dispatching our compliance team and the DCI to take necessary action,” Mutua confirmed.
The warning comes as a timely intervention, with many hopeful applicants already preparing for interviews scheduled on January 15, 2025.
Without swift action, countless Kenyans could fall victim to yet another fraudulent job scheme.
For those who have already engaged with CSC Compliancy, authorities recommend reporting any suspicious activities.
If you were considering applying through CSC Compliancy, pause immediately. Until the company is officially cleared by NEA, CS Mutua urges Kenyans to avoid any transactions or communication.
“Do not engage with this company until it is officially cleared,” Mutua advised.
